RHETT STARTED HIS BROADCAST CAREER IN JACKSON TENNESSEE AT WKBJ AM (MILAN, TN) AS A BOARD OP ON SATURDAY MORNINGS, AND ENGINEER FOR CASEY KASEM’S AMERICAN TOP 40 ON SUNDAYS. HE WAS “PROMOTED” TO F/T OVERNIGHTS ON THE SISTER FM STATION “THE NU 92 FM” (WYNU). HE MOVED BACK TO TEXAS TO ACCEPT A F/T OVERNIGHT GIG AT 99.5 FM (KRIX) BROWNSVILLE TX. HE ALSO BEGAN WORKING AT THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY’S HIGH-ENERGY DANCE STATION 94.7 FM (KRGV/KRGE) AS THE “Z-MAN” ON WEEKENDS.

When he moved to the Monterey Bay Area in California he was in the right place at the right time because the local classical radio station flipped from KBACH (KBOQ) to K-ROCK 103.9 FM (KRQC), where he landed his first F/T Morning Drive shift and kept it while commuting to the University of the Pacific in Stockton.

It was at UOP that he met Darren McGavin, Ralph Guild, and Jon Crabbe (all UOP alumni). They recognized his commercial broadcasting experience AND his natural real-world business style. They handed him the task of building a new campus radio station of, by, and FOR the students. He built 89.7 FM (KPAC) – which is currently known as “The Roar of the Pacific“.
KRIR: The Web's ROCK Revolution
Fast forward to January 2020…… Rhett CREATED and launched KRIR–db “RetroRock Internet Radio”. A web music entertainment network with 11 different Formats & 7 Globally Syndicated shows that run throughout the week on a 24/7 broadcast schedule.

is currently on 25 networks in 11 Countries
Russ DiBello – The VOICE of “Back 2 the ’80s.”
Born and raised in Westchester, Russ DiBello’s first TV appearance came at the age of 11, just out of camera range in a Texaco commercial. He later worked in the performing arts all over the country, before returning home to the New York Metropolitan Area in 1998. He splits his time between stage and screen, and is a member of both SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity.
Anita Bonita – The VOICE’ of the “70s FlashBack.”
After four years of providing voices to NYC’s original Z-100 Morning Zoo, Anita’s voiceover career began when she became APD at WNEW-AM — where her voice appeared on everything from the Top-of-the-Hour ID to the company telephone system (a tradition she continued at 100.1 WJRZ).
Following six years covering Major League Baseball, Anita moved to syndicator SJS/ ProMedia. As Creative Services Director, she wrote, voiced, and produced comedy, features, and imaging for stations all across America.
